Congress Chief Questions AAP’s Acquisition of Kapurthala Mayor Post

Amarinder Singh Raja Wadding, head of the Punjab Congress, publicly questioned how the AAP managed to obtain the Kapurthala mayoral seat after the elections. He argued that the procedural integrity of the municipal election had been compromised, pointing to alleged last‑minute alliances and post‑poll negotiations. Wadding called for an immediate audit of the vote tally and urged the authorities to address the grievances of voters who feel their mandate has been ignored. He warned that ignoring such concerns could fuel political instability across the state.
