Congress Accused of Shielding Missing IAS Officer Amid Massive Recruitment Fraud

While addressing the media at a Raksha Bandhan celebration organised by the RSS in Hubli, Union Minister Prakash Joshi targeted the Karnataka Congress government, alleging it protects individuals involved in a massive recruitment scam. He highlighted the case of Gyanendra Kumar Gangwar, an IAS officer from the 2016 Karnataka cadre who went missing, stating that the government’s inability to locate him points to a broader conspiracy. Joshi asserted that the administration has hidden the officer’s whereabouts and that the entire recruitment machinery is compromised. He urged law‑enforcement agencies to locate the officer, saying that doing so would expose the full scale of the scandal and result in the arrest of senior officials. The minister also warned of political instability within the Congress ranks ahead of upcoming elections.
