Community Kitchens Launched to Aid Bihar Flood Victims

In response to the rising water levels in several Bihar districts, the state has opened community kitchens in the most vulnerable villages. Minister Dilip Jaiswal announced that these kitchens are operating around the clock, providing hot meals to displaced families.

The kitchens are managed by local NGOs in partnership with the disaster management department. Each center serves an average of 500 meals per day, with plans to expand capacity as more areas are affected.

Jaiswal praised Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary’s hands‑on approach, noting that the chief minister’s frequent inspections are helping officials fine‑tune relief strategies.

The minister also called for responsible construction practices, referencing the recent building collapse in Delhi’s Satyamev complex, and urged citizens to remain vigilant about structural safety.
