CM Yogi links Hanuman Gadhi prayer issue to broader development failures of SP‑Congress

Ayodhya – Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath used his July 10 address to tie the Hanuman Gadhi prayer controversy to a larger narrative of neglect by the Samajwadi Party and Congress. He argued that the opposition’s tolerance of prayers on the historic steps was a mockery of faith and a sign of their disregard for Ayodhya’s growth.

The CM cited the BJP’s “double‑engine” agenda, which has brought forward 217 projects worth more than ₹432 crore in the Bikapur region, including the inauguration of the Valmiki International Airport and significant upgrades to roads, rail lines, and riverfronts. He contrasted these achievements with the past, when the Sarayu river suffered from pollution and basic civic amenities were absent.

Yogi also highlighted his administration’s efforts to honor cultural landmarks, mentioning the unveiling of a statue of former minister Munna Singh and the distribution of welfare grants to beneficiaries. He concluded that the development and spiritual heritage of Ayodhya are now advancing hand‑in‑hand, a progress the previous governments never facilitated.
