CM Yogi Announces Return of JPNIC to Public Administration

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath declared that the Jayaprakash Narayan International Centre will be reclaimed from the Samajwadi Party and placed under the jurisdiction of the Lucknow Development Authority. He said the move reflects the government’s commitment to a zero‑tolerance policy against corruption and misuse of public money.

The CM pointed out that the centre, originally budgeted at 200 crore rupees, saw expenditures rise to 864 crore, yet the project remained incomplete. He criticized the SPA for forming a control committee that included Akhilesh Yadav, Dimple Yadav, Dharmendra Yadav and other party functionaries.

Yogi stressed that the funds belong to the people of Uttar Pradesh and that any attempt to divert them for partisan purposes will be met with strict action. The centre will now operate as a public facility, honoring the legacy of Jayaprakash Narayan while the state seeks to recover the diverted amount.
