Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav painted a bright future for Ujjain, promising metro city infrastructure alongside its timeless spiritual identity. Addressing a gathering at Jay Gurudev Ashram on Maxi Road in Ujjain, he shared comprehensive development strategies targeting the 2028 Simhastha Kumbh Mela. 'Ujjain will shine as a metro city, festival capital, and spiritual epicenter by Simhastha 2028,' Yadav proclaimed. The initiative includes Geeta Bhawans sprouting in districts statewide, fostering Krishna's Bhagavad Gita teachings and spiritual enlightenment. The CM underscored cow welfare programs, providing economic support to Gopalak families and expanding goshalas. His visit to the ashram featured a heartfelt meeting with Gurudev Umakant Maharaj, whose blessings and nectar-like sermons inspired all present. Reflecting on life's profound cycle in Sanatan Dharma—culminating in precious human birth after countless yonis—Yadav urged embracing saintly wisdom for a balanced existence. Reinforcing moral governance, the state enforces dry laws in key pilgrimage sites like Ujjain, Omkareshwar, and others, totaling 19 cities. By integrating modern urban growth with age-old traditions, Yadav's vision ensures Ujjain remains a pilgrimage powerhouse while stepping into metropolitan prominence, setting a model for holistic progress in India.
