CM Suvendu Adhikari Gifts Kali Idol to Actor Mithun Chakraborty

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari visited Mithun Chakraborty’s home this Saturday, gifting the legendary actor a Kali idol. The meeting highlighted the camaraderie between the two leaders. Adhikari, a key figure in the 2007 Nandigram movement, joined the BJP in 2020 and became Chief Minister after the 2026 polls. Mithun Chakraborty, who entered politics with the TMC in 2014 and served in the Rajya Sabha before resigning in 2016 amid the Saradha controversy, joined the BJP in 2021. He continues to be a star campaigner for the party, leveraging his massive popularity across the state without seeking elected office.
