CM Singh Reviews Progress at Manipur Technical University Heirok Campus

Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh conducted a detailed review of the Manipur Technical University extension campus coming up at Heirok. Accompanied by senior engineers and university officials, he walked through nearly finished academic blocks and workshops, expressing satisfaction over the pace of construction. Singh directed that the approach road from Imphal-Moreh National Highway be upgraded immediately and that campus amenities like water supply, power, and drainage be completed before the monsoon. He stressed that the facility, originally conceived as an engineering college, will now function as an MTU extension campus offering multiple technical programmes. The Vice-Chancellor confirmed that the first batch of students could be accommodated from the July-August session. The Chief Minister also visited the nearby Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and Community Health Centre, issuing on-the-spot instructions for infrastructure upgrades. Local residents warmly welcomed the Chief Minister, reflecting strong community support for the development initiatives.
