CM Samrat Choudhary Highlights Youth Employment Goals While Honouring New BPSC Officers

Patna, August 13 – Bihar’s Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary conducted a ceremony at Bapu Hall where 2,027 successful candidates of the Bihar Public Service Commission’s 70th combined exam received their appointment letters.

The chief minister used the platform to celebrate the achievement and to reiterate the state’s commitment to youth employment. He reminded the audience that between 2020 and 2025, the government created 12 lakh public‑sector jobs and facilitated 50 lakh private‑sector placements.

Looking ahead, Choudhary announced an ambitious target: generating employment for one crore young people by 2030. He cited a revised state budget of Rs 3.47 lakh crore, which will fund 12 new townships, extensive infrastructure projects and public‑private partnerships designed to boost overall development.

Industrial policy, he explained, will focus on establishing Bihar as a steel manufacturing hub while also attracting investments in semiconductor, nuclear energy and food‑processing sectors. These initiatives are expected to create new job avenues and reinforce the state’s economic base.

On the governance front, the CM emphasized that public service is a duty to the people rather than a mere occupation. He called on the new officers to act with honesty, dedication and sensitivity, assuring that the "Sahayog Programme" will address citizens’ complaints within 30 days.

Deputy Chief Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, along with other ministers, senior officials and families of the aspirants, were present to witness the historic distribution.

The event closed with a reaffirmation that collective action from government, society and the private sector is essential to achieve a prosperous and developed Bihar.
