CM Naidu Says YSRCP Uses Corporate Money to Run Social Media Smear Campaign
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday claimed that leaders of the YSR Congress Party are channeling corporate funds to orchestrate a systematic smear campaign on social‑media platforms. Addressing reporters in his Kuppam constituency, Naidu said the opposition’s financial backing enables the creation of numerous accounts that attack the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan with false narratives.
He described the YSRCP as a "party wielding an axe", relying on aggressive language and street‑level intimidation. Naidu argued that the party is deliberately stoking communal tensions and encouraging criminal actions to obstruct the TDP‑NIT coalition’s reform agenda.
Highlighting the alliance’s development drive, Naidu listed key projects such as a quantum computing centre expected to be functional by December, significant investments in semiconductor manufacturing, and new steel plants by global giants. He underscored that despite attempted disruptions, the pace of growth will not be slowed.
The CM also accused the previous YSRCP administration of allocating land to private entities and then creating disputes that benefitted a single individual, pointing to valuable land and mineral resources being misused. Projects like Obulapuram and Anarak, he said, suffered similar interference, and the YSRCP now seeks to claim credit for initiatives actually launched by the current government.
Further, Naidu alleged that the former regime turned tribal agency regions into cannabis cultivation centres and allowed adulteration of the Tirumala temple’s prasadam, offending devotees. He concluded by reaffirming the state’s commitment to decentralized, balanced growth and promised that Kuppam’s road, communication and industrial infrastructure will soon showcase a transformed Andhra Pradesh.
