One‑Stop Centre and shelter reviews urged by CM Gupta for crisis‑time aid

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta highlighted the importance of periodical inspections of the 'Sakhi' One‑Stop Centres and the network of government‑run women shelters.

She said that these facilities must provide a secure environment, medical care, counseling, legal support, and rehabilitation services for women in distress.

The CM asked the Women Commission to prepare a comprehensive review of existing shelters, identify gaps, and recommend improvements to ensure that every woman receives prompt and effective assistance.

The meeting concluded with a pledge to allocate additional resources for infrastructure upgrades and staff training at these critical support hubs.
