The mother of Supreme Court Chief Justice Bhushan Gavai has received an invitation to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) event in Amravati on October 5th. The invitation comes amidst reports of a letter purportedly written by Kamalbai Gavai, expressing views against the Hindu ideology. While the authenticity of the letter remains unconfirmed, her son, Rajendra Gavai, stated that his mother intends to attend the event. The RSS is holding a special program in Amravati on October 5th to mark Vijayadashami and the completion of 100 years of the RSS. Sources indicate that Kamalatai Gavai initially declined the invitation, citing her commitment to the Ambedkarite ideology and the Indian constitution, vowing not to participate in any RSS event. However, Rajendra Gavai, a leader of the Republican Party, has asserted that his mother has accepted the invitation and will be present. He noted that RSS events have been attended by other Republican Party leaders in the past, and that his family maintains cordial relations with the RSS despite ideological differences.
