Authorities revealed that Liao Longwei entered India in 2018 on a legitimate visa that expired in 2020, yet he has remained in the country for almost six years using forged documents. He managed YTL Manufacturing, a front company owned by his father‑in‑law, Muzen Yu, and son‑in‑law, Qiu Ping Tang. The enterprise allegedly sourced expensive components from China, under‑declared their value, and sold the finished goods across Delhi’s commercial hubs. The illicit earnings were transferred through a clandestine hawala network, with several of Liao’s employees and even his driver listed as directors of shell corporations to further obscure the money trail.
