Child protection case: 13‑year‑old arrested for assaulting a minor in Tronica City

A minor sexual assault case has drawn attention to child protection mechanisms in Uttar Pradesh after a 13‑year‑old was apprehended for raping a five‑year‑old girl in the Tronica City police jurisdiction. The incident was first reported via a 112 emergency call made by a family member who feared for the child's safety.

Upon receiving the call, officers from Tronica City police arrived at the scene, documented the victim’s condition, and escorted her to a medical facility for forensic examination. The suspect was taken into police custody and subsequently handed over to a specialized child protection centre for further processing.
