Youth Welfare Paramount: Change in Police Recruitment Main Exam Dates on Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai's Directive

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, prioritising the welfare of the youth, has taken swift action to resolve the clash of dates between the teacher recruitment exam and the police recruitment main exam. The main exam for Sub-Inspector, Assistant Inspector and Platoon Commander positions will now be held on 2, 3 and 4 November 2026. The Chief Minister directed officials to adjust the exam schedule so that no eligible young candidate is deprived of an opportunity due to overlapping dates. The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission had originally announced the preliminary written exam results for the police recruitment on 4 August 2026 and set tentative dates for the main exam on 24, 25 and 26 October 2026. However, the teacher recruitment exam was also scheduled for 25 October 2026, creating a conflict and forcing candidates to choose between the two exams. Upon learning of this practical problem, the Chief Minister instructed immediate corrective measures. The commission has now revised the main exam dates to 2‑4 November 2026. The Chief Minister emphasized that youth welfare is paramount for the government and that every eligible candidate must receive every opportunity without being excluded due to scheduling conflicts. He highlighted that young aspirants work hard for years to prepare for competitive exams and should not be forced to pick one exam over another because of administrative issues. The state government remains sensitive to the aspirations of the youth and is committed to timely decisions affecting their future. The commission has advised shortlisted candidates to submit separate online applications for the main exam, with detailed instructions to be issued later, and urged candidates to regularly check the commission’s website. The Chief Minister wished all candidates appearing for the upcoming recruitment exams a bright future and success.
