From Lakhpati to Entrepreneur: Vidya Nishad’s Journey Highlighted on ‘Didi Ke Goth’

A virtual conversation was held with Vidya Nishad, popularly known as ‘Lakhpati Didi’, from Durg district. After losing her husband during the COVID‑19 crisis, Vidya enrolled in the Bihan Mission training program, which equipped her with skills to start a clothing and fashion store.

Today she generates more than five lakh rupees in annual revenue and cites the support received through ‘Didi Ke Goth’ as a turning point. Chief Minister Sai praised her achievement and urged other women to draw inspiration from her experience.

Vidya’s story underscores the programme’s aim to transform personal adversity into economic independence, encouraging women across the state to imagine similar pathways.
