VB-G Ram Ji Scheme to Boost Rural Employment and Water Conservation

The Emerging India VB-G Ram Ji programme, which started on July 1, 2026, now offers 125 days of wage employment to rural households, up from the earlier 100-day model, at a daily wage of ₹300. The scheme prioritises water-security projects such as construction of check-dams, recharge pits, and other water-conservation structures. By linking livelihood generation with resource protection, the government aims to create a durable foundation for both income stability and environmental resilience.
