Message of environmental protection; the campaign to make Nawa Raipur a "People for People City" was described as a collective commitment to the future. Raipur, Tourism and Culture Minister Mr. Rajesh Agrawal, under the "One Tree in Mother’s Name" campaign, today planted saplings in the new Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly complex located in Atal Nagar, Nawa Raipur, delivering a message of environmental protection and nature enrichment. On this occasion, he appealed to the people of the state to plant as many trees as possible and to pledge to protect them, stating that tree planting is not only a means of environmental protection but also a responsibility for building a safe and prosperous future for coming generations. Minister Rajesh Agrawal said that the "One Tree in Mother’s Name" campaign is an inspiring initiative to awaken each citizen’s respect for their mother and responsibility towards nature. He added that planting a sapling is not merely a tradition but a pledge for greening and a clean environment. If every individual plants a tree in his mother’s name and takes care of it, this movement will take the form of a mass movement and play an important role in making the state greener. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, an ambitious project to plant one lakh peepal trees is being undertaken to develop Nawa Raipur as a "People for People City". This initiative is a significant step towards environmental protection, biodiversity enhancement, clean air, climate balance, and conservation of natural resources. Mr. Agrawal said that trees are the foundation of our lives. They provide us with pure air, shade, rainfall, biodiversity and ecological balance. Therefore, protecting the plants is as necessary as planting them. He appealed to the citizens to ensure that each family plants at least one tree and commits to keep it safe until it becomes a tree. This will be true service to our motherland, nature and future generations. He concluded, "Let all of us join the 'One Tree in Mother’s Name' campaign, plant as many trees as possible, protect them and ensure our active participation in building a green, clean and prosperous Chhattisgarh."
