Two Dead, Three Injured After Vehicle Hits Divider Following Animal Collision

On Thursday, August 6, a serious traffic mishap on the Jhansi‑Kanpur highway resulted in two fatalities and three severe injuries. The victims were identified as Aban Ahmed, 21, the youngest child of criminal figure Atique Ahmed, and his companion known only as Sonu. Police reports indicate that the car, a Creta, was traveling at high speed when a stray animal unexpectedly entered its path near the Poonch police jurisdiction. In an effort to avoid the animal, the driver abruptly steered, causing the vehicle to lose stability and smash into a divider. The impact mangled the car’s front portion. Emergency teams transported the injured – Umar Ahmed, Mohammad Zaid and Aslam – to Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College, where they remain under intensive care. The deceased were sent for post‑mortem examinations. Investigators have launched a probe into driver behavior, road conditions and the animal’s presence. This incident follows the earlier death of another Ahmed son, Asad Ahmed, who was killed during a police confrontation related to a murder case. Currently, Ali Ahmed serves time in Jhansi jail, while brother Aijam is pursuing education, and Shaista Parveen remains at large with a INR 50,000 reward on her head.
