Major Budget Allocations Propel Tribal Welfare Projects Across Chhattisgarh

The upcoming 2026‑27 budget earmarks INR 2,136.26 crore for the Tribal Development Department, with an additional INR 42,165.95 crore under the Tribal Sub‑Plan. These funds will accelerate infrastructure in Bastar, Surguja, and central districts, and finance flagship projects such as a new sports complex in Korba, a 500‑seat residential school in Bijapur, and fully equipped education cities in Narayanpur and Sukma. New hostels and ashram buildings are also slated for construction, alongside academic excursion programs designed to broaden tribal students' horizons.
