Shabri Library Will Become a Strong Medium for the All-Round Development of Tribal Girls - Shri Deka
Raipur, Governor Shri Ramen Deka today inaugurated the Shabri Library, established by the Vanavasi Vikas Samiti, Chhattisgarh, with the aim of promoting a culture of study, knowledge acquisition, and reading among tribal girls. The Governor has provided financial assistance from his discretionary fund for the establishment of the library.
On this occasion, the Governor said that the Shabri Library is a visionary initiative, which will become a strong center for study, contemplation, self-development, and personality building for tribal girls. He expressed confidence that the girls studying here will achieve remarkable success in competitive examinations and various fields of life through knowledge and education. Their achievements will not only bring pride to their families but also to society and the nation.
He said that Shabri Kanya Ashram has been providing tribal girls not only shelter and education but also values, self-confidence, self-reliance, and a spirit of national service for years. As a result, many girls educated here are now making significant contributions in various fields including education, health, administration, and social service.
The Governor said that Chhattisgarh is a state rich in natural resources and cultural heritage. Its culture is connected to the traditions of the Ramayana period. He said that there are many similarities between the cultural traditions of Assam and Chhattisgarh, and the cultural streams of both states are connected to Lord Shri Ram. It is a matter of pride for all of us to be a part of such a glorious cultural environment.
He said that the present time is the era of the internet and technology. It is extremely important to maintain life values amidst a rapidly changing lifestyle. Sensitivity towards family and society, contentment, and positive thinking make life meaningful. Only a content person can be truly happy. Life is a precious gift from God, therefore, one should utilize every moment of it and fulfill their responsibilities towards society and the nation.
Governor Shri Deka said that the Vanavasi Vikas Samiti, Chhattisgarh province, affiliated with the Akhil Bharatiya Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram, has been doing commendable work in the fields of education, health, values, self-reliance, and service for the upliftment of the tribal society for the past several decades. This effort to extend service to the last person in society is truly inspiring. He praised the dedication of the institution's founders, office-bearers, workers, and supporters and commended their service activities.
On this occasion, President of Chhattisgarh Vanavasi Vikas Samiti Shri Umesh Kachhap, Secretary Shri Anurag Jain, office-bearers, workers, supporters of the institution, and students of Shabri Kanya Ashram were present.
