Tribal Dignity Festival: 'Public Participation, Furthest First' Campaign Launched Across the State

Will prove to be a milestone in the development of tribal areas: Minister Shri Netam Campaign to run from May 18 to May 25 Raipur, May 18, 2026/ As per the instructions of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, under the Tribal Dignity Festival, a campaign based on the theme 'Public Participation, Furthest First' was launched at the state level today. The campaign is being conducted by the department under the guidance of Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam. On this occasion, Minister Shri Netam said that the Tribal Dignity Festival will prove to be a milestone in the hundred percent development of tribal settlements in the state. He said that the development of tribal areas has an important role in the concept of a developed India by the year 2047 by the illustrious Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He said that just as a strong building can be built only on a strong foundation, similarly, the development of hundred percent tribal settlements will play the role of a strong foundation in the concept of a developed India. Chhattisgarh state has created an image of a leading state at the national level due to its commendable performance in PM-JANMAN, Dharti Abba Tribal Village Excellence Campaign, Aadi Kamyogi Campaign and Sarvesetu App. Therefore, we have to achieve the basic objectives of the campaign by remaining at the forefront in its implementation. The campaign is being continuously monitored under the leadership of Principal Secretary, Primitive Caste Development Department, Shri Sonmani Bora, and Commissioner Shri D. Rahul Venkat. The campaign is to be organized in the state from May 18 to May 25, 2026. On the first day today, an orientation program was organized at the district level. In this, the main objectives of the campaign were explained in detail and a call was made to ensure the success of the campaign with mutual coordination. It is noteworthy that the main objective of this campaign is to ensure effective reach of government schemes and services to tribal communities and to promote public participation. A comprehensive publicity campaign will be undertaken at the state level under the campaign. This will include ground contact, service saturation, health awareness, and public hearing programs at Aadi Seva Kendras established under the Aadi Kamyogi Campaign. Also, complaints received during the public hearing will be listed and resolved, and a progress report of all activities undertaken under the aforementioned public participation campaign will be prepared and uploaded daily on the Aadi Prasaran portal. Through the 1544 villages selected under the PM-JANMAN scheme in the state, 6691 villages selected under the Dharti Abba Tribal Village Excellence Campaign, and 7222 Aadi Seva Kendras, intensive public awareness programs will be conducted to saturate tribal beneficiaries with individual benefit schemes of the government. Public hearings will also be organized at each Aadi Seva Kendra. Under this campaign, along with the quick resolution of complaints and problems received for hundred percent saturation of government welfare schemes in tribal villages, information about welfare schemes run by various departments will be provided to the general public.
