In the plantation program at G.R.A. School Junadih, Lakhanpur, the Minister of Tourism and Culture planted saplings, called upon students to take a pledge for nature conservation.
Raipur, Minister of Tourism and Culture Shri Rajesh Agarwal attended a tree plantation program organized today at G.R.A. School, Junadih, Lakhanpur in Surguja district. On this occasion, he planted saplings on the school premises to give a message of environmental protection and resolved to build a green and clean future along with students, teachers, and attending public representatives.
On this occasion, Minister of Tourism and Culture Shri Rajesh Agarwal said that nature conservation is the collective responsibility of all of us. Environmental protection is not just the responsibility of the government, but the moral duty of every citizen. A sapling planted today becomes an invaluable heritage of clean air, greenery, and a secure future for coming generations. He urged all citizens to plant more and more trees and take care of them regularly.
Shri Agarwal further said in his address that trees are not just a means to maintain environmental balance, but are the basis of human life. Considering the current need for climate change, increasing pollution, and conservation of natural resources, every person should make tree plantation a mass movement. He said that planting a sapling is important, but its regular care is even more essential so that it can serve society and nature by becoming a strong tree.
Interacting with the students, he said that the young generation is the greatest strength for environmental protection. If students develop sensitivity towards nature in their lives and plant and take care of at least one sapling every year, then remarkable changes will be seen in the direction of environmental protection in the coming years. He inspired students to connect with nature, be aware of the environment, and continuously move forward in life with discipline, hard work, and positive thinking.
Minister of Tourism and Culture Shri Rajesh Agarwal said that a green environment is a sign of a healthy society. Through tree plantation, not only environmental protection is promoted, but biodiversity is conserved, water sources are augmented, and natural balance is strengthened. He said that today's collective effort is an important step towards ensuring a clean, green, and healthy environment for future generations.
At the end of the program, Shri Agarwal appreciated the efforts being made by the school family for environmental protection and wished all students a bright future. He expressed confidence that students, along with education, will play a significant role in bringing positive change in society by becoming messengers of nature conservation.
