Tourism and Culture Minister Confirms No Compromise in Care for Folk Icon Vikram Yadav
On July 21, 2026, Tourism and Culture Minister Rajesh Agrwal spoke with the family of internationally known bansuri artist Vikram Yadav, reiterating the state’s commitment to his full recovery. Acting on instructions from Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the minister assured that the government will provide all necessary medical interventions and will not allow any shortfall in the treatment process.
The minister also coordinated with the collector of Rajnandgaon and senior doctors at the local medical college, demanding immediate attention to Yadav’s case, allocation of advanced facilities, and oversight by expert clinicians. He promised that any extra support – be it equipment, specialist referrals, or financial aid – will be arranged by the state machinery.
Chief Minister Sai described Yadav as a living heritage of Chhattisgarh and India, whose bamboo flute artistry has earned acclaim on global platforms. He stressed that safeguarding the health of such artists is a moral duty of the administration.
