Total Approved Units Reach 20.4 Lakh, 4 Lakh Still Under Construction

The Chhattisgarh administration confirmed that all houses listed in the 2011 and 2018 eligibility rolls have received approval under the Prime Minister Awas Yojana. Out of the 20.40 lakh approved units, construction of approximately 4 lakh homes is ongoing.

Deputy Chief Minister Sharma emphasized that the current drive is not limited to sanctioning new houses but also to fast‑track the completion of homes that have been pending for years. He noted that more than 11 lakh houses have been finished during the current term, encompassing both newly approved projects and those revived from earlier periods.

In addition to the PM Awas scheme, the state has made progress on the Chief Minister Housing Scheme, completing about 20,000 of the 48,000 approved houses, and on the Jan Man program, where roughly 23,000 homes have been delivered.
