92 Feet Tiranga Was Hoisted

Public representatives, ex-servicemen, students, officers-employees, and citizens participated with enthusiasm and fervor in the 2.5 km foot rally of the Tiranga Yatra.

Raipur. Today, a grand Tiranga Yatra was taken out in Kanker under the chief hospitality of Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of Kanker district, Shri Arun Sao. A 2.5 km foot rally of the Tiranga Yatra, filled with patriotism and unprecedented enthusiasm, saw a large number of public representatives, ex-servicemen, students, officers-employees, and city dwellers participating. MLA Shri Asharam Netam and Chairperson of Chhattisgarh Handicrafts Board, Smt. Shalini Rajput also participated in the Tiranga Yatra.

The Tiranga Yatra, led by Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, started from the playground of Government Narhar Dev Excellent English Medium School and concluded at the newly constructed Mini Stadium complex, passing through Nagar Ghadi Chowk, Upar-Neeche Road, Masjid Chowk, and Gandhi Chowk. A large number of public representatives, ex-servicemen, students, officers-employees, distinguished citizens, media representatives, and office bearers of voluntary organizations enthusiastically participated, carrying the national flag in their hands.

The procession began with the singing of the national song 'Vande Mataram'. Citizens welcomed the participants of the rally with showers of flowers at various places and raised patriotic slogans. The city dwellers encouraged the students by distributing chocolates and toffees. This district-level Tiranga Yatra was organized on the occasion of the completion of 150 years of the song 'Vande Mataram', as per the instructions of the Ministry of Culture and the Culture Department of the Chhattisgarh Government.

92 Feet Tiranga Became the Center of Attraction

Students participating in the Tiranga Yatra displayed a 92-foot-long and 5-foot-wide Tiranga. The Yatra was taken out with it being waved at various routes and squares of the city, making it a center of attraction for the people. Students from the band troupe of St. Michael English School marched in the rally, playing musical instruments to the tune of the national song.

The 'Har Ghar Tiranga' program is being organized from August 9 to August 17, as per the instructions of the Central and State Governments. Through the Tiranga Yatra, citizens are being encouraged to hoist the national flag at their homes and sing the national song 'Vande Mataram', thereby awakening the spirit of patriotism and respect for the national flag among the people.

President of Kanker Municipality, Shri Arun Kausik, President of Zila Panchayat, Smt. Kiran Nareti, Collector Shri Nileshkumar Mahadev Kshirsagar, SP Shri Nikhil Rakhecha, Shri Mahesh Jain, Shri Satish Latiya, Shri Rahul Tikriha, Shri Raja Devnani, Vice President of Zila Panchayat, Smt. Tara Thakur, Vice President of Kanker Municipality, Shri Uttam Yadav, former MLA Smt. Sumitra Markole, CEO of Zila Panchayat, Shri Haresh Mandavi, and District Education Officer and Nodal Officer, Shri Ramesh Nishad were also present in the Tiranga Yatra.
