Tehsildar suspended after serious lapse in handling CM helpline cases in Kabirdham

During the same audit of the Chief Minister's helpline, a severe breach of duty was identified in the Piparia block of Kabirdham district. Tehsildar Pramod Kumar Chandra‑Vanshi, responsible for local administration, was found to have repeatedly failed to act on complaints registered through the 1076 portal. As a result, the state government has suspended him pending further inquiry.

The suspension underscores the administration’s zero‑tolerance stance toward officials who neglect citizen grievances. The PWD’s internal review flagged the tehsildar’s inaction as a critical factor that compromised the credibility of the helpline’s grievance‑redress system.

The move is part of a larger effort to ensure that complaints are not merely closed in the portal but are resolved substantively, with proper monitoring and reporting.
