Successful Organization of Seven-Day State-Level Training Workshop
Bakundpur. Under the aegis of Bharat Scouts and Guides Chhattisgarh and as per the directions of State Chief Commissioner Indrajit Singh Khalsa and guidance of State Secretary Brijesh Vajpayee, the State Training Centre, Jhanki, Abhanpur, District Raipur successfully organized a seven-day state-level Basic Floc Leader, Guide Captain and Ranger Leader training from 01 October to 07 October 2026. Seven participants from Korea district received training as per the orders of District Education Officer and Additional District Commissioner Scout Jitendra Kumar Gupta and under the guidance of District Organization Commissioner Scout Nageshwar Sahu of Bharat Scouts and Guides District Association Korea. The participants included Hansaa Sinha (Sages Budhar), Khushi Tiwari (State Award Guide), Shweta Sande (Sages Bakundpur), Sukanya (Saraswati Shishu Mandir Higher Secondary School Charcha), Shreya Gupta and Aarti Singh (Lahdi Memorial Higher Secondary School Podi West Chirumiri) and Pramila Beck (Loyla Higher Secondary School Bhaiswar). The main objective of the training was to promote the scouting movement, develop effective leadership skills among participants and train children and youth to become responsible, self-reliant, disciplined and service‑oriented citizens. Participants who have completed the training will now make scout‑guide activities in the district more effective and play an important role in the overall development of children and youth. The camp covered leadership, discipline, teamwork, basic elements of scouting and guiding, knowledge of the movement, history, guidance for children and youth, camping and outdoor skills, first aid, safety and disaster management, community service and programme organisation, among other important subjects. Special training was also given on presenting topics in a simple, interesting and effective manner along with technical proficiency, so that future training processes can be made more robust and result‑oriented. The return of the trained leaders is expected to give a new dimension to scouting and guiding activities in Korea district. The trained participants will now work in schools to connect children with discipline, leadership, teamwork, first aid, cleanliness, environmental conservation and service activities. This will develop confidence, responsibility, cooperation and a sense of service in children and promote their all‑round development.
