State Level School Entrance Festival to be Inaugurated by Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai in Jamgaon (M)
Raipur / The School Education Department will organize the State Level School Entrance Festival for the academic session 2026-27 on July 20 at Swami Atmanand Excellent English Medium School, Jamgaon (M), located in Patan development block of Durg district. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai will be the chief guest at this program, which will start at 12 noon. Deputy Chief Minister and Durg district in-charge minister Shri Vijay Sharma will attend the program as a special guest, while the program will be presided over by School Education Minister Shri Gajendra Yadav.
During the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai and other guests will warmly welcome the children entering school for the first time by applying tilak and offering sweets. The objective of the School Entrance Festival is to increase enthusiasm for education among children, ensure 100% enrollment in schools, and create a positive environment in society towards education.
Members of Parliament from Durg Lok Sabha constituency Shri Vijay Baghel, Patan MLA and former Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, Durg Rural MLA Shri Lalit Chandrakar, Ahiwara MLA Shri Domen Lal Korsewada, Vaishali Nagar MLA Shri Rikesh Sen, Bhilai Nagar MLA Shri Devendra Yadav, Saja MLA Shri Ishwar Sahu, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Khadi and Village Industries Board Shri Rakesh Pandey, and Chairman of Telghani Development Board Shri Jitendra Sahu will be present as special guests at the ceremony.
In addition, Chairperson of Durg Zila Panchayat Smt. Saraswati Banjare, Chairperson of Janpad Panchayat Patan Smt. Kirti Nayak, Zila Panchayat member Smt. Neelam Chandrakar, Janpad member Smt. Santoshi Thakur, and Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Jamgaon (M) Smt. Tulsi Sinha, along with local public representatives, will also attend the program.
The School Education Department has informed that all preparations for the State Level School Entrance Festival have been completed. The department has appealed to parents, public representatives, and distinguished citizens to participate in large numbers to encourage the children.
