Accelerated recruitment procedure for vacant posts in cooperative banks: Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap Cooperative Minister reviewed departmental work and activities Minister Shri Kashyap unveiled a coffee-table booklet based on Cooperative Week 2026 Raipur, 08 September 2026 – A review meeting of the Cooperative Department was held today in Naya Raipur under the chairmanship of Cooperative Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap. In the meeting, Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap emphasized strengthening cooperation, stating that the state government is fully committed to making the cooperative sector more transparent, digital and farmer-friendly. Our main goal is to deliver direct benefits of government schemes to the end‑person and each farmer in the state through Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PAX). A coffee‑table booklet focused on the cooperative sector was unveiled. During the meeting, Minister Shri Kashyap said that digitisation and modern banking services will further strengthen farmers’ confidence in the cooperative system. He reviewed the vacant posts in cooperative banks and gave directions to speed up the recruitment process. He also unveiled the coffee‑table booklet centred on the diverse programmes organised in the cooperative sector in Chhattisgarh from 29 June to 6 July 2026 as part of Cooperative Week. Instructions were given to expedite the 100 % computerisation and audit of PAX to ensure full financial transparency. In the meeting, Minister Shri Kashyap directed officers, managing directors, divisional joint commissioners, sub/assistant commissioners and chief executive officers of district cooperative central banks to take swift action on the following priorities. He instructed rapid computerisation and audit of PAX so that the financial system remains completely transparent. More than 16 lakh farmers have been provided loans amounting to Rs 7,973 crore. Minister Shri Kashyap directed the provision of interest subsidy on short‑term agricultural loans, timely supply of fertilizers, seeds and loan disbursement. He informed that the target for agricultural loan disbursement for the current kharif season 2026 through cooperative banks is Rs 8,800 crore, and to date more than 16 lakh farmers have received loans worth Rs 7,973 crore, achieving 90 % of the target. He instructed officials to achieve 100 % loan disbursement. Emphasis was laid on expanding common service centres in rural areas and increasing the availability of micro‑ATMs to make digital banking accessible. Construction of 718 warehouses has been completed. Minister Shri Kashyap reviewed the construction work approved under the warehousing scheme for 100 societies and gave directions for smooth operation of 515 newly formed PAX. It was reported that out of 725 warehouses allocated under RDF, construction of 718 warehouses is complete; the remaining 7 warehouses will be completed soon as directed to officials. Strict instructions were issued to ensure accountability and full transparency in delivering government schemes swiftly to farmers, including prompt resolution of cases recorded in the CM helpline, timely response in court matters, and ensuring e‑office and Aadhaar‑based attendance in offices. Orders were given to quickly and transparently settle the remaining paddy in paddy procurement centres. At the close of the meeting, Minister Shri Kashyap directed all departmental officials to deliver the benefits of government schemes promptly to farmers and other citizens associated with the cooperative sector with full accountability and transparency. Prasanna, Commissioner of Cooperation and Registrar of Cooperative Societies Mr. Ramesh Sharma, Apex Bank General Manager and Senior Managing Director Mr. Yugal Kishor, Additional Registrar Mr. U.B.S. Rathiya, Additional Registrar Mrs. Savitri Bhagat and officials of the Cooperative Department and Apex Bank as well as CEOs of district cooperative central banks.
