South East Central Railway Raipur Rail Division Organizes Swachhta Pakhwada Campaign from October 1 to 15

Raipur, South East Central Railway, Raipur Rail Division is celebrating Swachhta Pakhwada from October 01 to October 15, 2026. For 15 days, various cleanliness activities will be organized on different themes, such as One Day One Hour One Together, Clean India Day, Intensive Cleanliness Campaign, Cleanliness Campaign on Railway Tracks, Removal of Unnecessary Posters and Banners, Solid Waste Management, etc. During the fortnight, various activities are being organized with the objective of increasing awareness about cleanliness in railway premises and maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

At the Divisional Railway Manager's office, Divisional Railway Manager Shri Dayanand led a Shramdaan (voluntary labor) campaign for cleanliness along with all officers. In this, all officers and employees participated enthusiastically. At Raipur, Bhilai, and Bhilai Power House stations, Swachhta Shapath (cleanliness pledge) was administered, and Amrit Samvad (dialogue) was held with passengers during the Swachhta Pakhwada. At Durg Railway Station, Amrit Samvad, Swachhta Shapath, and cloth bags were distributed to passengers, with social worker Shubhangi Apte supporting the cloth bags.

Under the Swachhta Pakhwada, a nationwide Shramdaan campaign was organized simultaneously at other stations of the division including Raipur, workshops, PP Yard, railway colonies, and areas along the tracks. At Raipur Railway Station, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Dr. Suskar Vipul Vilasrao, along with officials from the Commercial Department, Operations Department, and sanitation staff, participated in the cleanliness drive by performing Shramdaan in the railway station premises.

Participation of railway officers and employees, their family members, dignitaries, voluntary organizations, community organizations, and others was ensured in the campaign. Department-wise Shramdaan was organized to ensure maximum participation of employees in the Raipur division.

Appeal to passengers for cooperation in the cleanliness campaign. During the Swachhta Pakhwada, cleanliness awareness was conducted for passengers on trains and stations under the theme 'My Seat My Coach' to make them aware of cleanliness. Passengers were appealed to maintain cleanliness around them, dispose of garbage only in designated dustbins, and cooperate in keeping the railway premises clean. Along with this, pamphlets were distributed to passengers, they were administered the Swachhta Shapath, and the message of personal responsibility and collective participation towards cleanliness was conveyed.

Raipur Rail Division has appealed to all railway employees, passengers, and the general public to contribute to building a Clean Rail, Clean Premises, and Clean India by actively participating in the Swachhta Pakhwada.
