Raipur, 13 December 2025: The Union Government, through BSNL, has approved the establishment of 513 new 4G mobile towers in Chhattisgarh under the Digital India Fund. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai welcomed this decision, calling it a significant outcome of joint efforts for peace, security, and development in Naxal-affected and remote regions.
Chief Minister Sai said that this decision is a strong link in the ongoing effective efforts toward Naxal elimination. With continuous action by security forces and administrative coordination, areas where stability has been established are now ensuring development and digital connectivity.
He said that the installation of these 4G mobile towers will provide residents of remote and inaccessible areas with accessible and reliable mobile and internet services for the first time. This will strengthen education, health, employment, administrative services, and emergency communication.
He added that this expansion of digital connectivity will also be a milestone toward financial inclusion. Strengthening the mobile network will enable banking services, DBT, UPI, insurance, pension, and other digital services to reach ordinary citizens more smoothly.
Chief Minister Sai said that this initiative embodies the core purpose of “Digital India,” which is to bring development to the farthest ends. It will give local youth new opportunities through digital means and accelerate the regional economy.
The Chief Minister noted that the central government, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, prioritizes security and development for Naxal-affected states. The Chhattisgarh government is also committed to linking every citizen of the state to the mainstream of development in line with this vision.
Chief Minister Sai expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Singh on behalf of the people of Chhattisgarh, stating that this decision is a historic step toward making Chhattisgarh digitally empowered, secure, and inclusive.
