Shaping the future of the new generation is our greatest responsibility: Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sahay. Quality education is the strongest foundation of a developed Chhattisgarh: Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sahay. New entrants were given a warm welcome at the state-level school admission festival. Four major gifts of education and sports infrastructure to Durg district: hostels for NEET-JEE aspirants, a modern composite office building, an auditorium and an athletics track were announced. Raipur / The purpose of education is not only to achieve good marks in exams, but to develop moral values, scientific thinking, social sensitivity and patriotism in children. Education is the strongest cornerstone for building a cultured society, a strong nation and a developed Chhattisgarh. The state government is determined that no child in the state should be deprived of his dreams due to lack of resources or opportunities. By providing quality education, modern infrastructure, technical resources and equal opportunities, the new generation of the state is being prepared for future challenges. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sahay addressed the State Level School Admission Festival 2026-27 held at Swami Atmanand Government Excellent English Medium School, Jamgawan (M) in Patan development block of Durg district, saying these words. At the start of the festival, the Chief Minister applied tilak to the tiny children entering the school for the first time and welcomed them sweetly. He blessed the children, urging them to study earnestly, dream big and illuminate the name of their family, society, state and country with their knowledge, talent and values. He said that the smiles of children and the dreams in their eyes are the foundation of a bright future for developed Chhattisgarh. The Chief Minister distributed free textbooks, uniforms and school bags to selected students of classes 1, 6 and 9, and also gave bicycles to girls of class 9, encouraging them to continue higher education. The Chief Minister honored students who performed excellently in the National Sahdan Sah Pravinny Scholarship Exam 2025-26, stating that talent does not depend on any field or circumstance; only the right opportunity and proper guidance are needed. In his speech, the Chief Minister said that the government’s aim is not merely to improve the education system, but to make it modern and inclusive as per future needs. Smart classes, timely free book and uniform distribution, extra nutritious meals, regular parent‑teacher meetings, welcome lunches and various innovations based on Indian culture are being introduced in schools to create an environment for holistic development of children. He said that strategic planning has brought historic reforms in the education system. Today, no school in the state is without teachers. Continuous efforts are being made to deliver quality education to remote and tribal areas. Education hubs are being developed in places like Jagargunda in Bastar so that children there can access facilities similar to those in big cities. He added that currently the state runs 15 medical colleges, has developed 24 Nalanda campuses, and has provided hostel facilities for 200 seats for students studying in Delhi. The Chief Minister announced four important initiatives for education and sports infrastructure in Durg district. He announced the construction of a modern composite office building at the offices of the joint director of education, district education officer and block education officer. He also announced a fully‑equipped modern auditorium in Durg city, a football field with an athletics track for sporting talent, and separate 100‑seat hostels for boys and girls to prepare for competitive exams such as NEET and JEE. He said these decisions will provide a better environment for talent in both education and sports to progress. The Chief Minister visited the school’s astronomy laboratory and praised the models of space science and astronomy prepared by the students. He said scientific thinking and innovation will define the future of India, and the government is continuously working to increase children’s interest in science and technology. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sahay and School Education Minister Shri Gajendra Yadav planted jackfruit, sindoori and maulshri saplings under the ‘One Tree in Mother’s Name’ campaign, promoting environmental protection. The Chief Minister also participated in the welcome lunch with schoolchildren and had a warm dialogue about their studies, interests and future aspirations. The program also honored students who performed excellently in the National Sahdan Sah Pravinny Scholarship Exam at the state level. The Chief Minister felicitated Ms. Payal Rajni, who secured first place in the state, Ms. Naitik Aamte, who secured seventh place, and Ms. Shraddha Indoria, who secured tenth place, wishing them a bright future. Addressing the program, School Education Minister Shri Gajendra Yadav said that the government, prioritising quality education, is expanding computer education in schools in phases. Over eight thousand new toilets for girls, special campaigns to improve language and mathematical proficiency, and various innovations linking students to Indian culture and the lives of great personalities are giving new direction to the education system. He said the goal is that in the coming years, all students will have books and uniforms on the first day of the academic session, similar to private schools.
