Service Commitment Campaign Launches 'Aangan Milan' in Anganwadi Centers of Narayanpur

Raypur: Under the 'Service Commitment Campaign' of the Women and Child Development Department, the 'Aangan Milan' program was enthusiastically inaugurated in Anganwadi centers of Narayanpur district. The program was organized in various sectors and projects including Amgaon, Belgawan, Orcha, Kohnkameta, Benur and Chotedongar, as well as remote area Anganwadi centers. On Monday, the main event held at the Anganwadi center in Banglapara, municipal area, saw large participation from local representatives, women and citizens. Attractive decorations and rangoli highlighted the importance of balanced and nutritious food for children. During the program, guests and representatives interacted with children, learned about their interests and activities. The main aim of this initiative is to convey that Anganwadi centers are not just sites for food distribution but strong centers for the holistic development of children. During 'Aangan Milan', traditional rites were observed, including the god bharai (ritual for pregnant women) and annprashan (first feeding) for infants who have completed six months. Women were educated about necessary precautions during pregnancy, regular check-ups and balanced diet, and the significance of timely supplementary nutrition for infants was emphasized. Anganwadi workers provided mothers and guardians with detailed information on vaccination, early childhood care, education and mother‑child health schemes. District Panchayat members, councilors and other female representatives actively participated. Under the 'Service Commitment Campaign', similar community‑participatory programs will continue to be organized in all Anganwadi centers of the district to effectively deliver nutrition, health and child development services to the last person.
