The Chief Minister attended the Sen Power Conference and the Hair Artisan Honor ceremony. The Chief Minister announced a grant of 5 million rupees for the construction of a community building for the Sen community. In Raipur, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that the Sen community's history is glorious. For centuries, this community has played an important role in strengthening Indian society's social order, customs and harmony. Having a great leader like national hero Karpurri Thakur in this community is a source of pride for the entire Sen community. The Sen community is not limited to its traditional services; it is involved in every rite of passage from birth to marriage and death, playing a vital role. It works to transmit eternal traditions and rites from one generation to the next. Chief Minister Shri Sai addressed the Sen Power Conference and Hair Artisan Honor ceremony at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hall in the Medical College campus in Raipur, announcing a grant of 5 million rupees for a community building. He said that the Hair Artisan Welfare Board was formed during the tenure of former Chief Minister and current Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh. He noted that many initiatives were taken then to empower artisans economically, including kits for salon operators, battery‑driven wheels for potters, and carpentry kits for carpenters. He assured that the state government will seriously consider the current needs and demands of the Sen community. A square in New Raipur will be named after Saint Shrimani Sen Ji Maharaj. The Chief Minister announced that a committee has been formed for the naming and pledged full cooperation for the community's development and welfare. The community continues to advance the ideals of Karpurri Thakur. The Chief Minister praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for increasing respect for skill and talent, noting that national hero Karpurri Thakur was a symbol of the fight for the rights of the underprivileged and social justice. His son, Shri Ramnath Thakur, serves as a minister in the central government. In Chhattisgarh, MLA Shri Rakesh Sen and the chairperson of the Chhattisgarh Film Development Corporation, Ms. Mona Sen, also contribute to the community's service and state development. The Youth now lead the Hair Artisan Welfare Board under the guidance of Shri Gauri Shankar Srivas, accelerating the community's progress. The development aligns with the slogan “All together, all development, all trust, all effort”. The Prime Minister’s Vishwakarma Scheme provides financial assistance, loans and other facilities to traditional artisans and small businesses, enhancing respect for skill and labor nationwide. In the past two and a half years, promises made under Prime Minister Modi’s guarantee have been largely fulfilled. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 1.8 million homes have been approved, with 1,500‑1,600 houses being built daily. Agricultural commitments have also been met, with rice being purchased at ₹3,100 per quintal and 21 quintals per acre, and a two‑year rice bonus paid to farmers. The Mother’s Blessing scheme now benefits about 7 million mothers and sisters with ₹1,000 each month, totalling over ₹19,000 crore deposited in women’s accounts, empowering them financially. Over 50,000 pilgrims have visited Ram Lalla in Ayodhya, and the Pilgrimage Sightseeing Scheme has been relaunched to fund senior citizens' pilgrimages. More than 5 lakh land‑less agricultural labourers receive an annual assistance of ₹10,000. Increased wages for tendu leaf collectors and the revival of the Charan Paduka Scheme were announced. Over 20,000 jobs have been created across departments, including police, electricity and cooperatives, with teacher recruitment underway. The new industrial policy aims to provide employment to 1.5 lakh youth, and investment proposals exceeding ₹8 lakh crore have been received, initiating projects across sectors. The Chief Minister urged community leaders to disseminate information about central and state welfare schemes to eligible members. He appealed for uptake of the Electricity Bill Relief Scheme, introduced during the COVID period, which waives charges for registered consumers. About 80,000 houses now have solar systems installed under the Prime Minister’s Solar House Free Electricity Scheme, with half of them receiving zero electricity bills. The Service Bridge portal now offers over 700 online services across 36 departments, accessible via mobile. The Chief Minister’s Hotline 1076 allows citizens to lodge complaints online, with around 8,000 officials across four escalation levels handling resolutions, eliminating the need for physical visits to government offices. Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh praised the Chief Minister’s appointment of Shri Gauri Shankar Srivas for the Sen community, describing him as a true warrior. MLA Shri Rakesh Sen also actively raises community issues in the Assembly. The community has been a cornerstone of village and social order for millennia, playing a key role in all rites of life. Its members are regarded as part of families with deep trust and bonds. The Chief Minister highlighted the community’s contribution to national development under his strong leadership. Minister Guru Kushvant also described the Sen Power Conference as a symbol of social unity, emphasizing skill development programs offered by the Skill Development Department. Chairman Shri Gauri Shankar Srivas of the State Hair Artisan Welfare Board declared the day historic for the Sen community, noting that former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh established the board dedicated to the community, and now under Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai it is being advanced. The Chief Minister noted the selfless service of community members during the pandemic and informed him of various needs for upliftment. The Chief Minister distributed kits to trained youth from across the state. Distinguished guests including MP Ms. Laxmi Verma, MLA Shri Rakesh Sen, Ms. Mona Sen, Chairman Shri Gauri Shankar Srivas, Chairman Shri Jitendra Sahoo of the Telghani Board, Chairman Shri Prahlad Rajak of the Rajakaar Welfare Board, Chairman Shri Sandeep Sharma of the Food Commission, Chairman Shri Naveen Agarwal of the District Panchayat, National President Dr. Raghubir Srivas of the Karpurri Thakur Thought Forum, and Director Shri Ranbir Sharma of Social Welfare, along with many Sen community representatives and citizens, were present.
