Raipur. In the Cabinet meeting today, changing the decision of the previous Bhupesh government, it was decided to again hand over the work of ready-to-eat construction to women self-help groups. In the first phase, the work of manufacturing ready to eat will be given to women self-help groups in 5 districts. Let us tell you that on November 20, 2022, the previous Bhupesh Baghel government had snatched the work of providing nutritious food i.e. ready to eat from the women self-help group and handed over the responsibility of it to a private company. Which was strongly opposed by BJP.
After the BJP government came to power in 2023, departmental minister in the assembly, Lakshmi Rajwade, had announced to correct the mistake of the Congress government and hand over the work of making it ready to eat to women self-help groups.
During the meeting with Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the women of the self-help group had expressed gratitude for the decision to reassign the work of Ready to Eat.
More than 30 thousand women self-help groups lost their jobs
There are more than 30 thousand women self-help groups in Chhattisgarh. Women had protested against the decision of Bhupesh Baghel government to hand over ready-to-eat manufacturing to a private company. The women had said that due to this decision of the government, three lakh families may face food crisis.
