Heartfelt tribute paid to Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission Chairman Late Rupnarayan Sinha Raipur June 5, 2026/Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai today paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Rupnarayan Sinha, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission, at a condolence meeting held at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in the capital Raipur. He said that Mr. Sinha's entire life was dedicated to social service, organization building, and the promotion of yoga. His demise is an irreparable loss not only to his family but to the whole of Chhattisgarh. Paying tribute, Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that the late Rupnarayan Sinha was blessed with the qualities of a skilled organizer, a simple, gentle, and soft-spoken personality. He had made a special identity among various sections of society through his behavior, work style, and dedication. His devotion to yoga and his commitment to society made him special. The Chief Minister said that after taking over the responsibility of the Chairman of Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission, Mr. Sinha worked with full dedication and energy to give a new direction to the yoga movement. He innovated many things to make yoga not just a means of health, but a part of lifestyle. Due to his efforts, yoga activities in the state gained a new identity and wide public acceptance. Recalling the moments spent with the late Mr. Sinha, Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that he used to meet him regularly, and in every meeting, he would share new yoga-based ideas to bring about positive change in society. His thinking was always constructive and in the public interest. He was continuously active in taking yoga to the masses and had made this objective his life's mission. The Chief Minister said that Mr. Sinha played an important role in the success of the International Yoga Day program organized last year at Ranita Stadium in Jashpur. The way he skillfully and with commitment gave a grand form to that event in a limited time is an excellent example of his organizational capacity and efficiency. The participation of a large number of people in that program had taken public awareness about yoga to new heights. His life was a symbol of dedication to society, discipline, and positive energy, which will continue to inspire future generations. The Chief Minister expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family and prayed to God for the peace of the departed soul and strength to the family to bear this grief.
