Raipur, 11 December 2025/ Under the Kharif marketing year 2025‑26, rice procurement at the support price and custom milling work in Dhamtari district are progressing rapidly and transparently. Continuous monitoring and systematic arrangement by the administration are providing farmers with streamlined, transparent, and prompt services. By 10 December, 1,72,568.60 metric tonnes of rice were purchased in the district, and farmers received immediate payment of 409.32 crore rupees. With a total of 37,084 farmers selling rice, the agricultural community gained strong economic support. Rapid progress in custom milling – Custom milling has been authorized for 5,52,336 metric tonnes of rice, out of which 4,54,272 metric tonnes have already been contracted with millers. So far, a delivery order for 19,611 metric tonnes of rice has been issued, and pickup by committees for 7,966 metric tonnes has also been completed. Committees have 1,64,602.60 metric tonnes remaining, and instructions for immediate pickup have been issued. Transparent procurement through token system – The token-based system has made the procurement process smoother. By 10 December, 17,134 tokens were issued, corresponding to a procurement of 1,34,59.92 quintals of rice. During the same period, 3,133 farmers sold rice from 86.53 hectares of cropland. Only seven pending applications remain, which are being resolved swiftly. Strict action against illegal transport – Authorities are also taking stringent action against illegal rice transport. So far, 3,652.40 quintals of rice and 02 vehicles have been seized, with an estimated value of approximately 28 lakh rupees. Photo upload and verification 99.68% complete – Out of 3,133 farmers selling rice, 3,123 have uploaded photos, indicating a 99.68% completion rate. Progress by farmer categories – In the district, 37,084 farmers, including marginal, small, and large categories, have sold rice. Out of 74,611 registered farmers, 18,768 have sold so far. Remaining farmers will be called via token system on designated dates. Continuous monitoring from command center – Under the collector’s direction, the command center is continuously reviewing rice procurement, cropland submission, grievance redressal, and photo verification. The administration aims to ensure that every eligible farmer receives a token on time, that procurement occurs without obstacles, and that payments reach farmers’ accounts promptly. Rice procurement work in Dhamtari district is progressing entirely transparently, systematically, and seamlessly for the benefit of farmers.
