Rajnanadgaon Gifts Development Works Worth 43 Crore 61 Lakh 26 Thousand Rupees
Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh and Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Arun Sao performed the ground-breaking ceremony for various development works in Rajnanadgaon city at a cost of 43 crore 61 lakh 26 thousand rupees. Prominently included among these is the state's largest 2000-seater auditorium to be built at a cost of 15 crore 92 lakh rupees.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that the 2000-seater auditorium to be built in Rajnanadgaon will be a historic achievement for the city. The auditorium will have adequate facilities for major events. It will also have parking, corridors, and arrangements for about a thousand people to dine together. This auditorium will become a major center for large-scale events for Rajnanadgaon and surrounding urban areas. He said that development works costing over 43 crore rupees are being undertaken in various wards of Rajnanadgaon city, including roads, drains, CC roads, interlocking, lighting systems, and pipeline extensions.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai, development works have gained momentum in all areas of Rajnanadgaon, and the demands and proposals put forth by public representatives are being approved with priority. Dr. Raman Singh highlighted the need for establishing an additional 10 MLD water treatment plant to further strengthen the water supply system in the Municipal Corporation area. He also proposed the construction of a shed and additional rooms behind the Govindram Nirmalkar Auditorium for marriages and other social events of poor and middle-class families.
The ground-breaking ceremony included various development works such as roads, drains, electrification, water supply, cremation ground upgradation, community halls, and other infrastructure development works in different wards of the city. Under the program, works of roads, drains, and electrification will be carried out in various wards at a cost of 12 crore 9 lakh 44 thousand rupees from the 15th Finance Commission's Untied Grant. Infrastructure development funds will cover works including roads, drains, cremation ground upgradation, and community hall construction at a cost of 11 crore 57 lakh rupees. Under the Chief Minister's announcement, road, drain, and community hall construction works will be undertaken in 4 wards at a cost of 1 crore rupees, and pipeline extension works in various wards will be carried out at a cost of 3 crore 2 lakh 82 thousand rupees from the Water Supply Management component of the 15th Finance Commission's Tied Grant. 1000 saplings were also distributed to citizens on this occasion.
Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Arun Sao said that today is a historic day for Rajnanadgaon city. The city has received a gift of development works worth over 43 crore rupees. He informed that since the formation of the government under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai, the Rajnanadgaon Municipal Corporation has received approximately 267 crore rupees for development works through various schemes in the last two years. He stated that the state government is continuously working in a planned manner to make the cities of the state clean, beautiful, and convenient. He called upon the residents of Rajnanadgaon to take a pledge to make the city a leader in cleanliness in the country. He expressed confidence that if citizens and the Municipal Corporation work together, Rajnanadgaon can achieve the first position in cleanliness nationwide.
Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Arun Sao provided information about the early approval of several important development works for Rajnanadgaon city. He informed that approvals for beautification of major intersections including Gandhi Chowk, Post Office Chowk, Nandai Chowk are in process, costing approximately 3 crore rupees. A plan worth 14 crore rupees has been prepared for the redevelopment of Rani Sagar and Budha Sagar ponds. Similarly, approvals for road widening from GE Road to Lakholi Kabadi Shop at a cost of 6 crore 85 lakh rupees, road construction from RK Nagar Chowk to Dongargaon Road at a cost of 6 crore 90 lakh rupees, and road widening from Bypass Kanharpuri to Tiranga Chowk at a cost of 5 crore 50 lakh rupees will be granted soon. He also informed that approvals for the repair work of Mohara water plant at a cost of 4 crore rupees and the construction of overhead tanks in Dhabba, Gaurinagar, and Gokulnagar at a cost of 12 crore 61 lakh rupees will be granted soon.
Mr. Sao emphasized that along with development, cleanliness is also an important basis for the city's identity. He appealed to the citizens to maintain cleanliness in their homes and surroundings, not to dump garbage in drains and on roads, and to cooperate with the Municipal Corporation's sanitation system. He stated that with collective efforts, the goal of making Rajnanadgaon achieve the first position in cleanliness nationwide can be achieved. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai, the state government is continuously working in a planned manner for the overall development of Chhattisgarh's cities, along with fulfilling the guarantees of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi.
MP Mr. Santosh Pandey said that the government has gifted development works worth 43 crore 61 lakh 26 thousand rupees to Rajnanadgaon city. Development works, including the Nalanda campus, are being carried out under the Rajnanadgaon Municipal Corporation. Both the Central and State governments are continuously working for the development of the district. He informed that the Central Government is constructing a new railway line from Parmalkasa to Kharsia, and the fourth railway line has also become operational. Rajnanadgaon and Dongargarh railway stations are being developed as model and अमृत railway stations. The construction of underbridges at Gaurinagar and Station Para will be completed by December, and the construction of the Motipur underbridge will begin soon. He mentioned that a new railway line from Dongargarh to Katghora has been approved, with Dongargarh as the junction. MP Mr. Pandey stated that Rajnanadgaon is a land of talent, labor, and hard work. The talented player from the district, Gyaneshwar Yadav, has brought pride to Rajnanadgaon and Chhattisgarh by winning a medal for the country in the Commonwealth Games.
Mayor Mr. Madhusudan Yadav said that the ground-breaking ceremony for various works costing 43 crore 61 lakh 26 thousand rupees for the development of Rajnanadgaon city has been performed. He informed that Rajnanadgaon city currently has an 800-seater auditorium, and now the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of a 2000-seater auditorium at a cost of 15 crore 92 lakh rupees has been done. Its construction will provide a systematic and well-equipped venue for major events in the future. He stated that considering the balanced development of all 51 wards of the city, various works costing 12 crore rupees and 3 crore rupees from the 15th Finance Commission, 1 crore rupees for water supply under the Chief Minister's announcement, and 11 crore 57 lakh rupees for infrastructure development have been ground-broken.
