Raipur Fire Tragedy: Elderly Man Suffocates in Locked House

Tragedy struck in the Tatibandh area of Raipur as an elderly man lost his life after being trapped in a house fire. The victim, 70-year-old Rajkumar Gupta, was alone in the house, with his son having left for his factory job after locking the gate for safety against the cold weather. The fire is suspected to have originated from a room heater. Smoke emanating from the house alerted neighbors, who rushed to help. However, their efforts were thwarted by the locked gate, leaving them unable to assist the distressed man. The fire brigade's arrival was reportedly delayed by over an hour. Police are now investigating the cause of the fire and the circumstances surrounding the death.
