Concerns have been raised regarding the healthcare system in Chhattisgarh. The Chhattisgarh Medical Services Corporation (CGMSC) has issued an order to halt the distribution of certain drugs and medical supplies within the state. According to the order, the supply and use of two types of injections and four types of surgical gloves have been immediately suspended. The drugs in question include Dextrose with Sodium Chloride injections and Ceftriaxone powder for injection. These were found to be substandard during inspection, posing a potential risk to patients’ lives. Additionally, the quality of various sizes of surgical gloves has also been questioned, leading to a halt in their use. This decision by the health department has caused a stir in hospitals across the state and was taken to ensure patient safety. There’s a possibility of action against the suppliers found responsible. Public and healthcare workers have expressed their concern and demanded strict monitoring.
