President’s Medal Awards Announced for Distinguished CG Police Service

The President’s Medal list for Chhattisgarh Police has been finalized ahead of Independence Day. Twelve officers will be honored for their outstanding contributions, with the ceremony to be led by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai on August 15.

President Draupadi Murmu had earlier highlighted the exemplary work of the state police during Republic Day, pledging a special recognition for those who have gone beyond the call of duty. This pledge materializes now as the awards are presented.

Ramavatar Singh Rajput, Assistant Sub‑Inspector at Rakshit Kendra, Dhamtari, receives the Distinguished Service Medal, while eleven colleagues are slated for the Commendable Service Medal. Names include Police Superintendent Ramgopal Garg (Bilaspur Range), Senior Superintendent Shashimohan Singh (Raigarh), and several senior officials from various battalions and police headquarters.

The President’s Medal is regarded as one of the highest civilian honors for police personnel, symbolizing national appreciation of their relentless service.
