Travel and Tourism Fair in Gandhinagar, Gujarat saw a strong presence of Chhattisgarh tourism. Representatives from tourism sector across the country appreciated the state's rich tourism heritage. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the state government is emphasizing tourism development, infrastructure expansion and extensive promotion to establish Chhattisgarh as a major tourist destination. Guided by Tourism Minister Shri Rajesh Aggarwal, the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board is continuously working to give national recognition to the state's natural, cultural, historical, religious and adventure sites. In this context, the Board's active participation in the Travel and Tourism Fair held in Gandhinagar from 6 to 8 August is a significant step to showcase the state's tourism potential to the national market. The fair, organized by Fair Fest Media, a body that promotes tourism sites through national and international promotional events, presented Chhattisgarh's rich tourism legacy in an attractive manner. Through the event, information about Chhattisgarh's natural beauty, tribal and cultural heritage, historic monuments, religious places, waterfalls, forest areas and adventure spots was conveyed to tourism entrepreneurs and representatives from across India. At the fair, 26 registered travel agents and hotel operators participated with the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, providing a direct platform to present the state's tourism sites to key industry players. Visitors from various states toured the Chhattisgarh pavilion, receiving details about major tourist attractions, facilities, travel possibilities and unique features of different destinations. A 100‑square‑metre attractive Chhattisgarh pavilion was set up by the Tourism Board to effectively showcase the state's tourism capacity and to offer better meeting and business interaction facilities for visiting entrepreneurs. The pavilion displayed the state's natural and cultural heritage, key tourist sites and diverse tourism possibilities, informing delegates about available facilities and travel options. New tourism entrepreneurs showed interest in joining Chhattisgarh. Positive outcomes from the TTF Gandhinagar were evident as many new travel agents, tour operators and tourism entrepreneurs visited the pavilion and expressed special interest in the state's attractions. Many new entrepreneurs are registering with the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, which will help expand tourism packages and travel services for visitors from across the country and provide wider national market access for the state's attractions. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai's vision is gaining momentum; under his leadership the government is promoting Chhattisgarh's unique natural and cultural identity as a major strength for tourism development. Emphasis is placed on infrastructure, extensive promotion and coordination with tourism industry stakeholders to make tribal culture, folk traditions, historic monuments, religious sites and natural attractions a hub for domestic and international tourists. Participation in national events like TTF is a crucial step to link the state's tourism potential with the national market. Tourism Minister Shri Rajesh Aggarwal guides expanded tourism promotion through participation in national and international events, engaging private sector representatives, travel agents, hotel owners and tour operators with Chhattisgarh's development. The involvement of 26 registered tourism entrepreneurs at TTF Gandhinagar demonstrates growing private sector participation, promising expansion of tourism activities, job creation and strengthening of the local economy. Several major states, including Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, Goa, Maharashtra, Kerala, West Bengal, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Delhi, participated alongside the Ministry of Tourism and Gujarat Tourism. This collective exhibition allowed delegates to learn about new tourist destinations and explore business opportunities. Chhattisgarh's presence in national tourism events is enhancing its identity on the national tourism map, providing a vital channel to reach tourism businesses and potential visitors across India. Continuous coordination by the Tourism Board with entrepreneurs is broadening the promotion of the state's attractions. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Tourism Minister Rajesh Aggarwal, these efforts are establishing Chhattisgarh as a recognized, diverse and vibrant tourism destination with increased investment, employment, local businesses and economic activity.
