Raipur, June 03, 2026/ On the occasion of World Environment Day, Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board is organizing various environmental programs on June 05, 2026, at Hotel Babylon International, Raipur. The objective of the program is to increase public awareness towards environmental protection and to develop sensitivity towards nature and climate among youth and students. The program will commence at 10 AM with a poster competition and a training session for Eco Club teachers. The poster competition will provide an opportunity for students and youth to express their creativity on the subject of environmental challenges and their solutions. A seminar on Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development followed by a prize distribution ceremony will be organized from 3:30 PM. The state's Finance, Housing and Environment Minister, Shri O.P. Chaudhary, will be the chief guest at the program. Shri Raju Agasimani, Member Secretary of the Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board, stated that this program organized on the occasion of World Environment Day is an important initiative towards connecting various sections of society with the shared efforts of environmental protection. He said that public participation and awareness are extremely essential to effectively tackle environmental challenges. Winners of the poster competition will be honored at the prize distribution ceremony. On this occasion, a digital exhibition based on the activities, innovations, and environmental protection efforts of Eco Clubs will also be organized. Additionally, a special exhibition showcasing the environmental activities and achievements conducted by excellent Eco Clubs of the state will be presented. Teachers, students, environmental experts, social organizations, and representatives of various educational institutions will participate in the program.
