Higher Education Minister Mr. Tank Ram Verma inaugurated the room built with public participation funds.
Raipur, On the occasion of the establishment day of Late Lochan Prasad Pandey Government Postgraduate College, Sarangarh, Revenue and Higher Education Minister Mr. Tank Ram Verma inspired students to actively participate in sports, reading, arts, singing, and other creative activities along with academic education. He said that human thoughts bring real change in their lives. The formation of good thoughts is possible only through good company. Presenting a mythological example, he clarified that despite being in the proximity of Guru Dronacharya, Duryodhana's downfall occurred due to bad company.
Minister Mr. Verma said that 'National Education Policy 2020' is being effectively implemented in the state. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, sufficient budgetary provisions have been made for education and district development, under which development works including auditorium construction in Sarangarh are gaining momentum. He described the role of youth power in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's resolve of 'Developed India 2047' as extremely important.
Minister Mr. Verma said that when the potter decided to make a matka (earthen pot) that provides cool water instead of a chilam (smoking pipe), both the form and purpose of the clay changed. If thoughts are positive, they not only improve one's own life but also provide coolness and peace to society. During this time, he planted saplings on the college campus. He also inaugurated a new additional room built with public participation funds.
Expansion of facilities and local demands in the college
At the program, Sarangarh MLA Uttari Jangde congratulated on the construction of the new room and highlighted the role of teachers in the all-round development of students. She demanded the construction of a seminar hall in the college. The Principal presented the institution's report, informing about the need to start Sanskrit and Mathematics subjects at the postgraduate level and the requirement of a seminar hall.
On this occasion, Zila Panchayat President and Vice President, former MLA Mrs. Kerabai Manhar, local public representatives, Collector, Superintendent of Police, college professors, NCC and NSS cadets, and a large number of students were present.
