Police bust ‘Burka gang’ after violent dispute over loot in Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh police announced the seizure of weapons, a car, a bike, six mobile phones and stolen gold ornaments after dismantling the so‑called ‘Burka gang’. The suspects, who had entered a residence in full burkas on July 18, used intimidation and physical assault to extract cash and jewellery. The raid that followed the September brawl recovered the items used during the crimes and led to the detention of the gang’s core members.
