PMO Intervention Leads to FIR Against Prashant Narang in Bilaspur Sex Crime

After a series of ignored complaints, the Bilaspur victim turned to the Prime Minister’s Office for assistance, prompting a swift response from the Civil Line police. The accused, Prashant Narang alias Bantu Narang, a reputed real‑estate dealer, had previously claimed connections with senior police officials and threatened the victim with false charges and even death. His threats included planting narcotics in her shop and filing fabricated cases to imprison her. Following the PMO’s directive, investigators filed a formal FIR naming Narang under sections 64(2)(M), 308 and 351(3) of the Indian Penal Code for rape, blackmail, and intimidation. The police emphasized the sensitive nature of the case, stating that every piece of digital evidence – videos, chats, and forensic reports – is being scrutinized. An arrest order is expected to be issued within days.
