PM Surya Ghar Yojana Brings Light to Every Home, Families Gain Financial Strength Through Savings in Electricity Bills

Raipur, The Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana is proving to be an effective medium of financial relief and clean energy for the common citizens of the state. Under the scheme, rooftop solar panels are being installed on the roofs of houses, enabling families to use solar energy for their electricity needs. This is leading to a significant reduction in electricity bills and providing financial savings benefits to many families.

As part of the good governance efforts under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the electricity department is extensively promoting the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana. Citizens are being encouraged to connect more and more families by providing information about the scheme's process, benefits, and the importance of solar energy.

Under the scheme, solar panels installed on household roofs generate electricity from sunlight. After meeting domestic requirements, surplus electricity can be sent to the grid, reducing consumers' electricity expenses. Thus, the scheme, on one hand, provides financial relief to families, and on the other, contributes to environmental protection by promoting clean and green energy.

Shri Sandeep Kumar Gupta, a resident of Kunkuri in Jashpur district, described the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana as beneficial for his family, stating that his household electricity bill used to be relatively high earlier. After getting solar panels installed under the scheme, his electricity bill has significantly decreased despite regular electricity consumption. He mentioned that using solar energy is resulting in good savings every month, which has had a positive impact on the family budget.

Shri Gupta said that the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana has brought great relief to common citizens. It provides an opportunity to reduce electricity expenses along with adopting clean energy. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai for this public welfare initiative.

He appealed to the people of the state to take advantage of the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana and adopt solar energy in their homes, stating that connecting more and more families to solar energy will strengthen electricity savings as well as environmental protection.
