PM E‑Bus Infrastructure Nearing Completion, 50 AC Electric Buses to Serve 12 Routes

After reviewing the housing project, Chief Secretary Bora proceeded to the City Bus Depot in Koni to examine the PM E‑Bus infrastructure. The terminal complex, sub‑station and charging stations have received an allocation of ₹11.45 crore, split into ₹8.37 crore for civil works, ₹1.59 crore for the sub‑station and ₹1.49 crore for high‑voltage connections. Approximately 70% of the civil work and 80% of the sub‑station are complete. Once operational, 50 air‑conditioned electric buses – 35 of 9‑metre length and 15 of 7‑metre length – will run on 12 major routes, linking schools, colleges, industrial zones, tourist spots and the High Court.
