Players' Long Wait Ends, State Government Releases List of Outstanding Players

Players' long wait finally ends today. The state government has today released the much-awaited list of outstanding players. The General Administration Department has published it in the Gazette. Under the provisions of the 2007 policy for appointing Chhattisgarh's outstanding players to government service, the list has been notified in the Gazette. The list issued by the department includes 156 players, covering athletes from 20 sports. On June 30, the list was approved in a high-level committee meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, and sent to the General Administration Department for Gazette publication. In the high-level committee meeting, the Deputy Chief Minister and Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Arun Saw, along with committee members, after detailed deliberation and review of all aspects of applications received for the years 2018-19 and 2019-20, gave the final shape to the selection of 156 outstanding players. The department has completed the necessary actions and today published it in the Gazette.
